Gotar, The Viking King

Dan, Mikie and myself have started a wednesday game where I am the DM. I am going to add an ongoing side adventure into the game.

Gotar, is as he believes the last of his line. His forefathers has traded their honor for wealth. But the greed of men is greater then one often thinks and soon the gold was gone. The clan soon began to shrink and after 100 years all that was left was the baby Gotar.

He spent his early years a wade of the kingdom and was used in the war efforts as a messenger and supplier for the troops. At age 10 he was told to pick a weapon and he could become part of the army. He would be given a bed and food.

He grabbed the biggest ax they had and pulled with all his might but could not lift the weapon. The quartermaster told him to pick another weapon but Gotar refused and made a deal with him. Gotar would work for the quartermaster and when he could lift the ax it was his, but he could use no other weapon until then.

For the next 2 years Gotar  trained. His body grew and so did his power. He took hold of the ax and as if he had wielded it since birth he cut down the quartermaster. The war had taken its toll on the keep and Gotar with the rest of the common folk were to be sold as slaves. As this happened a group of tribal raider were attacking the keep.

Before that night was over the blood of a 100 men dripped off the newly forged man. He set the common folk free and set off on his quest. He knew not where he was going but he could not fight the urge to go. He spent the better part of 20 years on the road standing up for the common folk and gaining a reputation.

His ax now worn and chipped, his beard full and long, his face starting to see the wear of travel is where the story truly begins. Tales began to surface of people with the same eyes as Gotar, an unrealistic orange that seemed to shine even in the dark.. Off he set to find these people and learn of his clans past. He vowed his life to the task of returning the honor to his name, a quest he originally thought to be impossible that will surprise him.

Gotar is going to be an on-going npc in the game who with the help of his will be able to find his lost family and return honor to his. This story idea is going to be great.

Old Joe Viking King

“The empiricism of complexity is philosophical in its polymorphism,” Baron Malum Luher spoke in his creeping voice. He overlooked the skyline of Errorso, his narrow beady eyes trembling overtop his crooked nose and wormy lips.Huge bookcases lined the walls of Luher’s study, at the top of the highest building in the city.

Sir Bonun Yevol looked up from his feet. For years, Baron Malum Luher was all that brought order to the great City of Mazes, that kept it safe and devoid of harm. Not just anybody could study the secrets of Errorso, someone had to bear the heavy madness in their soul for the better good. This is what Sir Bonun had believed for years.

“There are visitors,” Sir Bonun said, reluctantly.

“Then you know what must be done.”

“Yes, but I begin to believe there must be a better w—”

“The omniscience of bureaucracy is the reality, the truth of Errorso. There is only one way.”

Sir Bonun sighed. His duties weighed on him. But they were still his duties.

“Yes, sir.”
